Georgia is a warm, compassionate and open-hearted Clinical Psychologist with 9 years experience in private practice. She believes in creating a collaborative, sustainable relationship with each of her clients in order to help them overcome their struggles and create a rich, full, meaningful life.

 

She works to create a space where my clients can feel safe and at ease to open up and fully engage in the therapeutic process. During her time in private practice she has become passionate about excellent client care and focuses on educating individuals about the journey through therapy and commitment to treatment to gain long lasting outcomes and prevent future relapse.

 

She has experience in both private practice and working within psychiatric hospital settings (inpatient and outpatient) with adolescents, adults and families. She currently only works within the private practice setting with clients individually. She works with a broad range of issues including anxiety and panic attacks, stress management, trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, depression and mood difficulties, family issues, relationship difficulties and interpersonal issues, assertiveness and communication, perfectionism, identity development, adjustment to life events and changes, anger management, female sexual issues, complex issues, exploration of spirituality, unblocking creativity, self-esteem and self-confidence issues, and sexuality and gender. 

 

Her work with clients draws from a broad range of therapeutic approaches including Internal Family System (IFS), somatic therapeutic approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT; for PTSD and complex trauma), mindfulness-based approaches, Attachment Theory, Systemic Family Therapy and psychodynamic models. Each treatment provided is individualised to best support the unique needs of each client and is flexibly adapted to the unique needs and values of each person.

FEES & REBATES

Consultation Fee
The fee for a 50 minute consultation is $260. Fees are payable by direct debit/ cash/ cheque and Eftpos. Concession rates are available for those with a pension/ healthcare card or others in financial hardship. Please enquire when making a booking.

Medicare
Medicare rebates are available for those with a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP, which entitles you to a rebate of $141.85 per session. You can claim Medicare rebates for 10 sessions each calendar year (Jan—Dec).

Cancellation Fee
Cancellations under 24 hours notice attract a fee that is 100% of the standard fee. Cancellations must be made by phone to avoid a fee.

 

Private Health Funds
Most private health insurers offer rebates on psychological services when covered by ancillary benefits insurance. However, how many sessions are covered and how much you are able to claim depends on the type of your cover.
